Introduction and Background
The D2O Army “Beam City Prayer and Ministry Tour” was conducted in two stages during the summer and early fall of 2016. The first stage took place from July 15 through 23; and the second from September 21-28. The main emphases of the Tour were to: 1) awaken and align with the DNA of reformation that is latent in the six Beam Cities which were indicated by the LORD; 2) activate the reformation process in each of these cities; 3) repent of previous departures from the word and work of reformation; 4) enter into new levels of spiritual warfare against the enemies of reformation; and 5) make connections leading to the establishment of the national Zion. As the tour was carried out, there was a threefold declaration that was made from city to city in order to welcome and activate the fellowship of Zion. This declaration is pursuant to the historic apostolic declarations that were made by John Alexander Dowie and the Chicago Restoration Host from 1892-1905 in connection with the revelation and formation of Zion that occurred in Chicago at that time. Having reactivated the fellowship of Zion in Chicago on May 4, 2015; and having initiated the governance of Zion in Chicago from January 22 through February 5, 2016; and understanding that Chicago is “Immanuel’s Gate” and a flashpoint for the national Zion, the Nu Church Movement / D2O Army Chicago apostolic team carried this declaration to each of the Beam Cities. The declaration is as follows: Christ Is All!! Zion Has Come!! And Zion Is One – both in terms of unity and in terms of primacy! The Nu Church Movement / D2O Army Chicago apostolic team undertook the Beam City Tour in response to a vision of the LORD received by Prophetess Brenita Stultz in 2009. During a worship service taking place in “The LORD Is Here” community on Chicago’s west side, she saw powerful beams of light coming up from Chicago, IL; Newark, NJ; from Cocoa-Merritt Island-Treasure Coast, FL; from Shreveport, LA; from Portland, OR; from Sacramento, CA-Reno, NV; and from San Diego, CA. In the vision, each of these cities represented an organizing center for the Zion of the LORD. These are cities where there will be significant demonstrations of the “city on a hill” desired by the LORD. They are cities where fully-functioning Kingdom Church Communities will be developed, and will arise to levels of governmental influence in their respective regions. In the vision, each beam of light shot up from the earth and penetrated into the atmosphere above the nation. They curved toward each other and connected over the nation’s center, creating an arch of light that pushed back the prevailing darkness. As understood from the vision, these beams provided for the realignment of the nation and played a significant role in restoring America’s destiny. This does not mean that important events won’t also be taking place in many other cities and rural areas. It does mean that a focus of every movement stream should be on seeing Zion established in these Beam Cities. America’s national destiny centers on the word and work of church reformation. Beginning with prayers and declarations that occurred in San Miguel, CA (later renamed San Diego) in 1542, in Fort Caroline, FL (later renamed Jacksonville) in 1562, and among the fellowship of the early Plymouth Colony Pilgrims in 1620, the national assignment for North America is to provide an epicenter and launching pad for the final phase of reformation. This is the reformation phase that addresses church structure. It requires becoming an earthly expression of the heavenly Jerusalem and the city on a hill Christ desires. It means establishing the Zion of the LORD, and developing fully-functioning Kingdom Church Communities. These are characterized by fellowship in Christ that is holy, healthy and holistic; fellowship that includes dimensions of mission, governance, economy, education, and brotherly and neighborly care; fellowship that is no longer anchored or defined by using corporate and ecclesiastical models, but is centered on becoming the city, family and army of the LORD; and fellowship that functions on micro (house), macro (citywide), national, and global levels. It is in this final phase of reformation that the church gains the capacity to come out of Babylon before its impending judgment. It is through this process that the bride makes herself ready as the city that is ready to receive her bridegroom, the LORD Jesus Christ. (See John 13:34, John 17:21-23, Acts 2:42-47, Acts 4:32-37, Hebrews 12:22, Isaiah 60:1-14, Matthew 5:14-16, Revelation 21:9-10 – and Revelation 19:7 and 18:4.) Realizing that Kingdom Year 2015-16 was the first year in a new seven-year “Shemitah cycle” which culminates in the 2021-22 Sabbath Year, and that KY 2015-16 was also a Jubilee year in which it is spiritually appropriate to reclaim lost inheritance and destiny, the apostolic leadership of the Nu Church Movement was led by the LORD to conduct this two-stage tour. The emphasis of the tour was on reclaiming the Zion-destiny of the church of Jesus Christ in America, with the understanding that this is central to the overall purpose of the nation. As the church in America completes its reformation assignment, it will be a flashpoint for the global church. The Nu Church Movement in America will be instrumental in establishing the global “City of God,” the worldwide Zion of the LORD, which is the fellowship center of the Kingdom of God – consisting of both Jews and Gentiles – which is also described in the New Testament as the “Israel of God.” As the tour came into focus, it was noted that the previous Jubilee Year (1966-67) was highlighted by the occupation and repossession of the physical city of Jerusalem by the nation of Israel; and the Jubilee year before that (1917-18) laid the groundwork for the Balfour Declaration, which led to the 20th Century Zionist Movement by the Jewish people. Viewed together, the three Jubilees seem to point to the rise of a global Zion that will one day be headquartered in Jerusalem, and will include Jewish and Gentile believers – united as “one new man” in Christ and in the global “Israel of God.” This is the Zion of the LORD that is capable of demonstrating the glory of the LORD Jesus Christ, and completing His ministry throughout the world in preparation for His return. (See Isaiah 66:21, Ephesians 2:11-18, Galatians 3:26-29, Galatians 6:16, Romans 11:11-24, Ephesians 3:8-21, and 2 Peter 3:9-12.) In its decision to undertake this Jubilee assignment, the Chicago D2O Army apostolic team operated from a place of humility and dependence on the LORD, and could be accurately portrayed as a humble donkey as described in the prophecy of Matthew 21:5. Having just completed an intensive June 2016 Humility Month assignment in which the team – through prayer and prophetic declaration – took possession of national and generational gates of Movement activism, mobilization, organization, and development throughout the City of Chicago; and also conducted LORD Jesus Christ parades throughout its Chicago west side community in order to counteract and overcome the voice of pride that was arising from the city at the same time; the team arrived at the first week of July with no resources for a trip. Deciding to use its twenty-year-old van, the apostolic team realized it was what God wanted, and took the plunge. They would make it as far as possible. And the LORD provided! Even with the added adventures of an alternator that split open during a blinding rainstorm at 10 PM on a southern Louisiana interstate on July 21, a fifty mile tow into the city of Shreveport at midnight, and the theft of $1800 (back in Chicago) that massively overdrew their bank account making it impossible to pay for the van repairs – the team was able to come through the warfare and fulfill the first half of the assignment to the glory of the LORD! Upon their return to Chicago, the apostolic team undertook a heavy summer of ministry throughout the remainder of July, all of August and into September. During this time they activated and led a small army of youth (Victory Club and Teen Town Leadership Corps) and began the process of creating Zion Precincts throughout their violence plagued neighborhoods on Chicago’s west side. During this period they also “Rose Up for the Turn Up” (Isaiah 60 and Acts 17:6). They conducted actions addressing the false Black Lives Matter “city within the city” encampment that was established in their community while they were conducting the first half of the Beam City Tour. They launched a Teen-Town campaign to take possession of property needed to establish a Teen-Town Community Center to evangelize and disciple youth by bringing them Kingdom Church Community. And on the regional level, they confronted church efforts to have revival and bring community transformation by relying on corporate models while disregarding the word and work of reformation which brings us into the fellowship of Zion. As of the first week of September – after this intensive summer – there were no resources for a trip that must be conducted before Rosh Hashanah (October 2-4) in order to be within the Jubilee Year. In obedience to the LORD, team members began to make airplane reservations to fly into Portland from Chicago, and back to Chicago from San Diego. As they took the steps of obedience and faith, God provided with unexpected donations, including several that were completely unsolicited. They arrived in Portland on 9/21 with travel and lodging secure for the duration for the tour, but not knowing how they would eat after leaving Portland. The LORD met them along the way – God’s people in Portland were most generous – and they ate well from city to city until their return home on the evening of 9/28. Awakening Reformation DNA in each of the Beam Cities As the Beam City Tour was carried out in both stages, the D2O Army / Chicago apostolic team was blessed by the LORD to connect with local leaders and fellow believers in awakening, aligning and activating each city with the DNA of reformation that was already there. Highlights of this emphasis included the following: 1. Old First Church in downtown Newark, NJ. This was the center of fellowship and governance for believers who came there from the New England colonies in order to get back on track with their reformation assignment. It is from here that they established Newark, really New Ark, to become a Zion of the LORD. When the apostolic team arrived in Newark on July 16, Old First Church had just celebrated its 350th anniversary, dating from July 14, 1666. The timing of this celebration and the prayer to awaken, align and activate Newark’s Zion destiny, was taken to be a sign from the LORD that God is ready – and is going – to complete what He began there 350 years ago. In the prayer at Old First Church, it was emphasized by the Holy Spirit that New Ark is intended by the LORD to be a governmental center and gateway of Zion for the northeastern and middle-Atlantic states, and also for nations across the Atlantic. An important prophecy that was rekindled through the prayer was a promise of the LORD concerning the spread of Zion “from sea to shining sea,” that is, from Newark on the east coast to cities on the west coast of the North American continent. 2. City Point Community Church is a white wood frame structure on the ocean front in Cocoa, FL. It was here that early settlers, in 1885, established a place of worship that was also a school and governmental center for a community that was forming around Cocoa, Merritt, Island, Cape Canaveral, and adjacent Florida coastal areas. The DNA of reformation that was identified, was the fact that this church was built – during a period of segregation – as a place for white and black Christians to worship and do community together. On the July 19 date that the team prayed at the Cocoa church site, the team also stopped in Jacksonville, where they prayed at the location, overlooking the St. John’s River, where Jean Ribault – on May 1, 1562 – first declared Psalm 132 and Zion to be the destiny of the North American continent (see verses 1-3 and verse 13). As soon as our agreement was uttered, the team was joined by what appeared to be a flock of eagles that stayed with us for nearly twenty minutes, apparently indicating the help of Heaven to fulfill the reformation assignment. It is also interesting to note that the second leg of the Beam City Tour, which was launched on September 21, began one day after the anniversary of the September 20, 1565 martyrdom of the main portion of the Ribault Huguenot party. By coordinating these dates, the LORD is declaring His mighty victory and announcing the unfolding of His overarching (Beam City) plan. Zion has come to North America! In spite of all the opposition and delay it will be established! It will most certainly be developed! The time is now to complete what Ribault began 454 years ago in 1562. Interestingly, it was later discovered that, after the martyrdom of the main party, the last group of Ribault settlers, fled south to the Cocoa, Merritt Island and Cape Canaveral area near the place where the City Point Community Church was later built. It was there that 75 Huguenots were finally captured by their persecutors on November 1, 1565; but 20 escaped to live with the Surruque tribe that occupied the area. Another historical – and prophetic note – is that the City Point Community Church meeting place was completed on November 1, 1885, exactly 320 years after the final Huguenots disappeared from history. By synchronizing these dates, the LORD is saying that He is establishing His Church to be the one new man and Zion that He wants, regardless of the opposition of man’s kingdom and the failings of many of His messengers. 3. The DNA of reformation in Shreveport, LA is connected to its founder, Henry Miller Shreve. The team prayed at a statue commemorating Shreve’s role in opening up Shreveport for settlement by making the Red River navigable. This in turn led to further migrations into Texas, Oklahoma and other south-central states. In this city, which was the last stronghold of the Confederate government, it was emphasized that Shreve was a Quaker. As a Quaker he was an abolitionist who believed in the unity of the body of Christ and also carried a basic disposition for the establishment of Kingdom Church Community. 4. In Portland, OR the DNA of reformation is connected to the way the area was opened up, and the motives of the early Christian settlers. The two covered wagons that first came across what later became known as the Oregon Trail, carried families that journeyed in response to a request made by Native Americans that General William Clark (of the Lewis and Clark expedition) send them people who could instruct them in the Bible. These two families were followed by wagon trains in the early 1840s that were sometimes led and always populated by large numbers of restoration Christians, known as Campbellites. These were Christians who believed that the Book of Acts is the model for what they termed the “current reformation.” Throughout the first three to four decades of Oregon’s history, these Restoration Christians – which later became the Disciples of Christ, the Christian Church, and certain Church of Christ denominations – were the most prominent believers in the area. They had a strategic role in shaping its early history, as they also sought to practice “Kingdom Church Community” according to their understanding of the Book of Acts. On Thursday evening September 22, the team prayed with pastors and members of Emmanuel Church of God in Christ United regarding the opening of Immanuel’s Gate in Portland and throughout the West Coast in order to complete this vision of reformation carried by these Restoration Christians. On Friday evening September 23 the team prayed with intercessors representing five Portland churches to understand, align with, and activate the DNA of reformation which was central to the early history of their city and state. Another important Portland prayer site included the Sacagawea Statue, which was created in 1905 in order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Sacagawea was the First Nations woman who served as a guide to Lewis and Clark. It was there, in Portland’s Washington Park, the team repented of the “manifest destiny” of the United States which had replaced the Kingdom destiny of North America. They laid hold of the prophecy that Zion would extend from Newark on the east to Portland on the west, “from sea to shining sea.” An additional prayer site was the former Methodist Church building in Oregon City, which established in 1842. This was the first gathering place of reformation-minded believers on the West Coast. It was also the first center of Protestant preaching west of the Rockies. The current building is occupied by Faith Victory Church, a congregation of Spirit-filled believers. As we shared the word of reformation with a member of the pastoral team, we also prayed that the vision of the Restoration Christians – a Church modelled after the Book of Acts – would be fulfilled; and for the clear preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom which not only prepares us to “ever be with the LORD,” but also establishes us in the fellowship of Jesus Christ, which is the fellowship of Zion. 5. In Sacramento California we identified the DNA of reformation in the meaning of the name “Sacramento.” This name is a reference to the celebration of the Lord’s Table which facilitates the unity of the Body of Christ. This name was given first to the Sacramento River in 1542 by Juan Cabrillo, and later to the city after the demise of Sutter’s Fort. We also referenced the DNA of reformation in the work of early explorers of the region, including the Methodist mountain man and lay preacher, Jedidiah Smith in the 1820s; and Methodist believer General John C. Fremont, a radical abolitionist and first Republican president candidate, who mapped the area in the 1840s. Sacramento prayer locations included Sutter’s Fort where the first reformation-based (Protestant) sermon was preached south of the Portland area. In the downtown area, the team prayed at the site of a large oak tree where believers regularly gathered and where the Gospel was frequently preached by “lay” leaders before there were any church buildings. Although the tree is no longer standing, we prayed that there would be a clear release of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to bring people into the holy, healthy and holistic fellowship of Jesus Christ – the City on a Hill Christ desires. We also prayed at the site of the first Methodist church building, established in 1852, where the reformation-based believers, including Restoration Christians from Oregon, gathered to establish Kingdom fellowship that was modelled after the Book of Acts. We prayed at these sites on Sunday, September 25 to awaken, align with and activate the DNA of Zion that is latent in this Beam City. That evening, over dinner, we presented the Nu Church Movement to a woman who is active in ministry throughout the area. She received the word of reformation and joined this fellowship as the Zion representative for the Sacramento area. On Monday September 26 we drove to Reno, NV, with the understanding that Reno and Sacramento are joined in the Spirit as one Beam City. There we prayed at the oldest school building still standing in Nevada. This is the Glendale School House, where reformation-oriented Methodists first gathered in 1861 to live out their understanding of reformation. They worshipped and practiced a degree of Kingdom Church Community in the midst of this money hungry environment and rapidly developing gateway into central California. In a manner that is appropriate considering Reno’s mountainous terrain, we prayed that Zion would arise above the top of every mountain, including those of mammon and gangsterism that have been major factors in the history of Reno as well as in the history of our entire nation. 6. In San Diego California, on Wednesday September 28 which was the final day of the Tour, we visited the site on Point Loma overlooking the San Diego Bay, where the first declaration was made over the area – and probably the nation. This declaration was made by the explorer Juan Cabrillo who first landed there on September 28, 1542. He named the area San Miguel after Michael the Archangel, a name it carried until Sebastian Vizcaino renamed it after San Diego de Alcala on November 12, 1602. The Chicago apostolic team believes that the initial naming was a prophetic appeal to heaven for God to send angelic help – that of Michael who fights for the Israel of God – so that the purpose of the LORD might be fulfilled in America. The team prayed at the site where this naming occurred, and also at the lighthouse located nearby, which was operated for several decades in the late 1800s by a man with the last name of Israel. Robert Decatur Israel, the lighthouse operator, was also a Christian civic leader of early San Diego, and an individual known for taking unpopular stands concerning racial integration. This lighthouse, which still stands on Point Loma as part of the Cabrillo National Monument, is the highest built lighthouse in North America. There we prayed for God to send the help of His angelic armies to fulfill our national destiny. We prayed for San Diego to fulfill its destiny as a “Beam City;” and we prayed to awaken, align with, and activate the DNA of reformation in behalf of San Diego and the nation. Also in San Diego, we prayed at the site of the first Methodist Church, established in 1870 after two years of meeting in homes, setting ourselves in agreement with the reformation orientation that was carried by the early Methodists. Areas of Repentance As the Chicago D2O Army apostolic team prayed to awaken, align with and activate the DNA of reformation in each of the Beam Cities, the team also repented for believers’ departures from the reformation assignment of the LORD Jesus Christ. 1. In Newark repentance centered on the offense that occurred in 1733 and split the early Kingdom Church Community which was supposed to become an American center for the Zion of the LORD. Due to a legalistic interpretation of the Sabbath day, Josiah Ogden, a member of Old First Church, was reprimanded and ostracized when he was forced by extenuating weather to harvest his wheat on a Sunday. Rather than helping him with this assignment, the community leadership condemned him for his behavior. In a place of woundedness, he decided to build his own church. Ogden brought in the Roman-based Episcopalian Church, donating some of his land for their church’s upscale new building. Through the arrival of the wealthy and politically-connected Episcopalian Church, Zion was defeated in New Ark, and English nobility soon took over its governance and administration along with public credit for the city’s founding. In agreement with Bernard Wilks, one of the key leaders of Zion-Newark, the Chicago Nu Church team prayed at the site of this Episcopalian facility, the Trinity-St. Philip’s Church. Greatly moved by the LORD, the team experienced a time of weeping, with most of the members either kneeling or laying prostrate on the ground in front of the church’s main entrance. 2. At the Cocoa, FL City Point Community Church site, repentance centered on separation that occurred between black and white Christians when subsequent generations departed from their unity assignment. When the D2O Army team member prayed from Acts 3:19, “Repent therefore and be converted so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the LORD,” what had been a hot – sun-filled – steamy afternoon suddenly became a huge deluge. Thankfully, the team – along with the local Zion leader, Ernest Conwell, who was present along with his family to receive the work and work of reformation – was standing on the church’s covered porch, so they were not drenched. 3. In Shreveport, the team prayed at Union Baptist Church, which was celebrating the 150th anniversary of its separation from First Baptist Church. This separation took place in 1866 in the aftermath of the Civil War. It occurred because of a mutual decision that white and black believers should no longer worship together. Black Christians would have “their own” church. Once again, prostrate on the ground – and this time in baking heat – the Chicago apostolic team repented for these decisions and asked God to bring unity to His body, not only in Shreveport, but also throughout the nation so that we might become the Zion of the LORD characterized by fellowship that is holy, healthy and holistic. 4. In Portland, the repentance took place at the Sellwood Branch YMCA, which is a national historic site and is unique because it was established in the late 1800s by a group of young people. There the repentance focused on the way believers have turned youth discipleship and nurture over to the world – in both the social service and educational arenas. In a manner similar to other YMCAs, the early Sellwood YMCA was a Christian ministry. Intended by God to be instrumental in the raising of an end-time army of the LORD, it was established to provide needed fellowship for Christian youth and ministry to youth who did not yet know the LORD. In agreement with a Portland pastor who was a key part of the tour, the Chicago team asked God to restore youth to the Church, and to give us grace to once again disciple and nurture generations of youth by becoming the Zion of the LORD. We also asked for wisdom and understanding to establish structures and systems of discipleship and education so we can effectively nurture and deploy the end-time army of the LORD. 5. In Sacramento and Reno the repentance focused on historic rejections by American Christians of our reformation assignment. These rejections and subsequent departures from the word and work of reformation opened the door to strongholds that would develop from within the nation and would war against the establishment of Zion. Some of these strongholds arose from within the church – creating false spiritualities and agreements that would mimic the unity Christ wants, but would be compatible, instead, with philosophies of humanism and spirits of anti-Christ. An example of this is the Congregational Church which arose from among the Pilgrims after they rejected their assignment. Over time, branches of the Congregational Church morphed into the United Church of Christ and the Unitarian Church, which have provided demonic alternatives to the fellowship Christ died to establish. A Sacramento testimony to this departure and to the strongholds that have risen from within the church is the Pioneer Congregational Church, a member of the United Church of Christ, which stands across the street from Sutter’s Fort and proudly announces its solidarity with the homosexual movement. Other strongholds that arose when American Christians departed from their reformation assignment came from outside of the church. These had the similar goal as the false unity movements from within the church – the creation of counterfeit Zions under the influence of counterfeit Christs. These anti-utopias would provide false satisfaction to the spiritual hunger for City on a Hill and Kingdom Church Community that is innate to Christian spirituality in America. An example of this is the Mormon “Church” which was a spiritual successor to the many false eastern utopias of the early 1800s, and played a prominent role in the history of each of the western Beam Cities. Repentance sites which addressed historic rejections of the word and work of reformation in Sacramento included Sutter’s Fort. At his fort, John Sutter hosted and employed a large contingent of Mormons during the late 1840s and early 1850s. They arrived from San Diego to work with Sutter after the Mormon Battalion was formally disbanded by the U.S. Army. It was this group of Mormons that made the first discoveries of gold that resulted in the California Gold Rush. Their effort to establish a Mormon Zion was financed by the Gold Rush as Mormons usurped resources that likely should have been utilized for the development of the true Zion of the LORD Jesus Christ in America. In addition, Mormon polygamy planted seeds for family breakdown which extended from Utah through the Sacramento-Reno mountain passes and into San Francisco. This seed of immorality has matured into the gross sexual lawlessness that much of the area has become known for today. Right Across the street from the Sutter’s Fort Mormon site is the Pioneer Congregational Church, which belongs to the United Church of Christ and also hosts a Unitarian Church. This Church was established in 1849 and is a descendant of the early Congregational Church that rejected the word and work of reformation beginning in Plymouth Colony. The congregations of anti-Christians that now meet here boldly proclaim the false unity of humanistic spirituality. This is unity that contributes to the development of global Babylon. We asked God to forgive American Christians for abandoning our central assignment which is to become the Zion of the LORD. We asked the LORD to forgive us for replacing the unity Jesus died to establish with the social and economic unity of the American Dream; and for replacing the ministry of God’s Kingdom with many ministry assignments and tasks which are conducive to the American Dream but do not establish the Kingdom City of God. The rejection of reformation, which centers on our refusal to become the Zion of the LORD, provides an opening for family breakdown, as the family is at the center of any functioning Kingdom Church Community. Without a functioning Zion, American families became vulnerable to the ongoing war propagated by Prince of the Power of the Air. This is warfare that destroys God-designed family structures and disbands family units, so that families are redefined, re-formed and reinvented to be compatible with the Man of Lawlessness and the rising Babylon. Reno, NV, which began with a Mormon trading post operated by a man name Jameson beginning in 1852, became a hotspot for family breakdown and is a spiritual and social ancestor for much of the moral decay we see in our nation today. Beginning with these Mormon roots, which provides for a false Zion but perverts family fellowship through polygamy; and maturing through its avaricious development, Reno became a fountainhead for family breakdown through a lucrative divorce industry that impacted the entire nation. The Chicago apostolic team prayed at the Washoe County Courthouse where easy divorces were first administered, and at the Robison house which consists of a mansion and adjacent cottages where people could establish Nevada residency for three weeks in order to qualify for quickie divorces. At both sites we repented for our decisions to reject Kingdom Church Community, and to make the “American Dream” system the center of our fellowship. This has left our families vulnerable to demonic strategies to break them apart, so our children would participate as citizens of the Babylonian world city and soldiers in the armies of anti-Christ. We asked the LORD to restore our families as His city is built – so that fully-functioning Kingdom Church community becomes the true center of family life and fellowship. 6. In San Diego the repentance focus centered on the reformation-based church’s willingness to be “bought off” by the Kingdom of Man. Going all the way back to the Pilgrims, this was evidenced by early departures from a lifestyle of koinonia. Several years after they were established to become a “City on a Hill,” Plymouth Pilgrims decided to disband their koinonia-based economic fellowship in order to be more profitable and attract the investment of the British Empire. This created a slippery slope through which these early American believers departed further and further from their reformation assignment which was to become the Zion of the LORD. The San Diego repentance site was the location of the first Methodist church building which is today a park in downtown San Diego. There is no visible memorial or remains of this early church building. It was here that the reformation-oriented believers, who began their fellowship by meeting in homes, became a part of the system by accepting this property as a donation from Alonzo E. Horton. Horton was a Unitarian, and was the real estate developer credited with the founding of San Diego as a modern city. In accepting the site and constructing their building, believers left off meeting in each other’s homes and entered into a Kingdom of Man style of doing church. By receiving his gift, they also became complicit with Horton’s Unitarian philosophy, which promotes a false unity that strengthens the world city, but is contrary to the true unity of the LORD Jesus Christ in Zion. Dimensions of Warfare As the Chicago team came into places of repentance, they were positioned by the LORD to come into new understandings and levels of warfare which will affect the progress of reformation in our nation. The LORD revealed several strongholds – including structures and systems – that were addressed throughout the Beam City Tour and that must be dealt with even more thoroughly in the days ahead. Romanism The first of these is the stronghold of Romanism, which is a force that was sent from outside of the nation to stop the development of Zion. This effort to thwart the development of Kingdom Church Community and City on a Hill has fought against reformation by direct physical combat (as in the experience of Jean Ribault), by purchasing the allegiance of believers (as in the experience of the early Pilgrims), and by assimilating the reforming church into the structures and systems of man’s kingdom (as occurs through believers’ complicity with the American Dream). Places where Romanism was addressed include: 1. The Trinity-St. Philips Church in Newark, which, beginning in 1733, facilitated the city’s takeover by British nobility. An important point of clarity that occurred after praying at the site, is the fact that British and French monarchs often used reformers, who came to America to get away from oppression, as sacrificial lambs they would later buy off or otherwise overpower in order to extend their Romanistic empires. 2. The United States Capital Building in Washington, D.C., which is crowned by the Roman goddess Minerva, and has a facade comprised of an alliance of Roman gods that preside over our nation’s productivity. 3. The Roman Catholic Church in Cocoa, Florida – it was the Spanish Roman Catholics that hunted down Ribault’s reformers and martyred them in their efforts to establish Kingdom Church Community. The Cocoa, Merritt Island, Cape Canaveral area was the last stand of these Huguenot believers in 1565. 4. The Caddo County Courthouse in Shreveport, LA. The courthouse was the last bastion of the Confederacy, a stronghold of white supremacism, which is an expression of Romanism. Also in Shreveport, the African American Union Baptist Church building, which houses the black congregation that was separated from white believers in 1866, is built in “Romanesque” style. This seems to express the Romanistic strategy of “divide and conquer” as its primary means of maintaining authority, while it creates its own version of unity throughout the nation and the world. 5. The site of Fort Vancouver, WA directly across the river from Portland, OR. Here the British Empire, as an expression of Romanism, attempted to rule the northwest militarily and commercially, even though it belonged to the United States through the Louisiana Purchase. This strategy was undone by the arrival of the Restoration Christians into Oregon and Washington in the 1840s. However, a leading figure at the fort – John (Jean Baptiste) McLoughlin – was both an outspoken Catholic and a successful businessman. Known as the “father of Oregon,” Mcloughlin caused one of the early restoration leaders, Peter Burnett, to convert to Catholicism. Burnett later moved to California where he became wealthy in the Gold Rush, and became an early governor of the State. 6. Sacramento, CA, Sutter’s Fort. John Sutter was given land and commissioned in 1839 by the Mexican government as the ruler over a territory he named New Helvetia. His governmental center was the fort which was located in what is now Sacramento. Sutter’s assignment was to protect Romanistic Mexican interests in the area – both from Native Americans and from the United States government. An additional Sacramento site is the first Roman Catholic Church building in Sacramento. This building was donated to the local priest who later became the area’s first Catholic Archbishop by Peter Burnett, who had been a leader of Restoration Christians and who had converted to Catholicism. This conversion story and outcomes is indicative of the warfare of Romanism against the reformation assignment in America. In Reno, NV, the Francis C. Newland house. Newland was a leading U.S. senator who was the architect of the legislation providing for the dams that would be used to irrigate the west. He was also an avowed racist – an expression of Romanism – who set a course for the city of Reno and in many cases the nation, particularly in the area of immigration. He became a noted real estate developer who was responsible for the creation of the Chevy Chase communities in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. 7. In San Diego, CA, the city’s name is actually an expression of Romanism. When Sebastian Vizcaino landed at Point Loma and renamed San Miguel “San Diego” in 1602, he was declaring the Romanistic spirituality of San Diego de Alcala over the area. San Diego de Alcala was a Catholic priest from Spain who was sent to the Canary Islands during the 1400s. Throughout the 1400s, the Spanish Empire was fighting to subjugate the Canary Islands. This was a source of slaves for the early slave trade, and was also the place where plantations were invented – which became the model for slavery throughout the Americas. Priests like San Diego were sent there to pacify the native peoples and – through religion – assimilate them under Romanistic Spanish rule. In addition to the Point Loma site, the Chicago team addressed this Roman stronghold by praying at the Spanish Presidio (Fort) and Mission established in the 1760s. At this site, local tribes were subjugated as the authority of Spanish Romanism was established and administered in southern California. In addition to the external warfare of Romanism to stop the word and work of reformation, there are internal strongholds that developed as believers rejected their national assignment. Rebellion against God’s purpose created openings that were exploited by principalities and powers. These demonic agents instigated the creation of false church unity that is complicit with the world system, and counterfeit Zions which would provide distractions and draw people away from the true Zion that is ordered by the LORD. Strongholds that arose from within the church Strongholds of false unity, which make the Church a part of a unified world system, arose from within the church, attempting to replace the Zion of the LORD that we were supposed to be. The Chicago apostolic team addressed these strongholds by praying at the following sites: 1. The Trinity-St. Philips Episcopalian Church in Newark which was established in 1733-34 to oppose Zion-Newark. Today this is a welcoming church for gay “Christians,” and a center for man-centered prayers for unity and the peace of the city. 2. The Pioneer Congregational Church in Sacramento, established in 1849 and located across from Sutter’s Fort. Pioneer Church was part of the original Congregational Church which had rejected America’s reformation assignment, and later became complicit in the development of the United Church of Christ and the Unitarian Church. Today this is a welcoming church for gay “Christians,” and a center for man-centered prayers for unity and the peace of the city. 3. The Congregational Church on Commercial Street in Reno, Nevada. Founded in 1870, early members of this church shared space with the Oddfellows both for worship and for business, and assisted in establishing the first Masonic Lodge in Nevada. 4. The First Unitarian Church in San Diego, CA, which was funded by Alonzo Horton, the founder of “New San Diego,” and was established in 1873. Today the Church houses a school for children, and is a headquarters for the city’s Black Lives Matter, feminist and homosexual movements. Strongholds that arose from outside the church Counterfeits of Zion have also risen from outside the church. These are connected to false “Christs,” and serve to divert people away from the Kingdom of God and the true experience of the City on a Hill. Many of these operated as anti-utopias throughout the nation beginning in the middle 1800s and continuing until this day. The biggest, most powerful and enduring of these is connected to the Mormon “Church.” The Chicago apostolic team addressed these strongholds by praying at the following sites: 1. The gigantic Mormon Tabernacle in Portland, OR. The Mormon security knew we walked in a spirituality that was contrary to theirs, but could not find any fault with our emphasis on Zion. Mormons believe that they will establish a Zion in America. 2. Sutter’s Fort, constructed in 1839, that housed the members of the Mormon Battalion that came to Sacramento from San Diego. These Battalion members initiated the California Gold Rush. 3. The site of Jameson Station trading post which was established in 1852. Jameson was a Mormon businessman that anchored the first settlement leading to the founding of Reno. His role in setting the stage for the development of Reno speaks to the desecration of marriage covenants that Reno is famous for. This perversion of marriage stems from the city’s polygamous roots. 4. The Mormon Battalion barracks in San Diego. The Mormon Battalion was the only religious unit in U.S. military history. Established in 1847, Their 2,000 mile march from Iowa to San Diego opened up the wagon trail that led to the population of southern California. Their guide was Jean Baptiste Charbonneau the son of Sacagawea, the guide for Lewis and Clark. Movement Gates Another important prayer emphasis in each of the cities was a continuation of the prayer that began in Chicago during Humility Month. This was prayer to possess national and generational gates of movement, which includes activism, mobilization, community organization, and development. These are gates to the John the Baptist (Millennial) generation and subsequent youth armies of the LORD. Movement-related sites in each of the Beam Cities were visited as follows: 1. The Clinton Avenue police station in Newark, NJ, which was visited by the team on July 16.. This was the site of Black Lives Matters protests which were occurring during the period of the July tour segment. When the Chicago team prayed for a Joel 2:28 outpouring of the Holy Spirit to activate the youth army of the LORD, the sky suddenly was filled with clouds. What had been a bright and sunny day suddenly became cloudy and fat raindrops began to fall in their midst. As soon as the prayer was concluded, the drops ended and the sun returned. 2. The White House in Washington, D.C. When the D2O Army apostolic team arrived on July 17, a Muslim leader from Chicago was speaking to a large crowd of Muslim protestors that had gathered around the building. The team’s timely presence enable them to address this adversarial movement that seeks to mobilize young men and women in the formation of the Muslim anti-Zion. 3. The Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa, FL. Which was visited by the team on July 19. It was there on May 21, 2016 that local activists participated in a day of demonstrations that were taking place around the world. The emphasis of these demonstrations was the global green energy agenda, which is connected to the establishment of a global government conducive to the anti-Christ. 4. The Baptist Community Center in Waycross, GA. The team gathered and ministered to young adults and children who represent the youth army of the LORD in a day long community building and evangelistic outreach event that took place on Wednesday, July 20. 5. The Caddo County Courthouse in Shreveport, LA. Which was visited by the team on July 22. This is a living symbol of white supremacism and the site of recent Black Lives Matter protests. The police shootings in Dallas, TX and Baton Rouge, LA had occurred days before this prayer. White police officers approached the Chicago team with hands on their guns. We had the opportunity to speak to them about the hope of Zion, and received permission to blow the shophar and shout the threefold declaration – in front of the courthouse – that Christ Is All! Zion Has Come! And Zion Is One! 6. The Other Words Community Feminist Center in Portland, OR. This center is also the headquarters of Portland’s Black Lives Matter movement, the Portland (activist) Solidarity Network, and Portland’s homosexual movement. It was about 10 PM on September 23 that we gathered there for prayer, joined by local intercessors and leaders who had participated in the prayer service which was conducted earlier in the evening. 7. Fremont Park Sacramento, CA on September 25. It is at this park that Occupy Sacramento conducts its monthly Urban Outreach initiative in an effort to gather Black and Hispanic residents into the contrary unity of the Occupy movement. 8. Bethel A.M.E. Church in Reno, NV on September 26. This was the center of the Nevada civil rights movement during the 1960s and 1970s. 9. First Unitarian Church in San Diego, CA on September 28. This is a current headquarters of feminist, homosexual and Black Lives Matter movements in San Diego. Zion Connections Along with the prayer emphases, there were also important connections that were made by the Chicago team in each of the Beam Cities. Some of these were fellowship connections with apostolic and intercessory leaders for ongoing agreement in the word and work of reformation so the Zion of the LORD is established in each city. Others were temporary “on-the-spot” connections that were prophetic in nature and were specially orchestrated by the LORD. 1. In Newark, NJ, the team connected and established agreement with Bernard Wilks, an apostolic organizer and leader for Zion-Newark. Bro. Wilks provided key insights about the rift that derailed the city’s reformation assignment, and opened the door for the invasion of Romanism. He also provided prophetic information about the word of the LORD that Zion would extend from Newark on the east, and would ultimately be established in American “from sea to shining sea.” Bro. Wilks carries an apostolic mantle to see the Zion of the LORD established in Newark. For years he has understood that Newark is to become a Zion, and knew that there would be Zions in other American cities also. 2. In Manhattan, NYC, the team connected with a group of believers from South Carolina who were sent by a Chicago ministry to work with Brooklyn Tabernacle. In the shadow of the 911 Memorial, they declared together, “Christ Is All! Zion Has Come! And Zion Is One!” 3. In Cocoa-Treasure Coast, FL, the team connected and established agreement with Pastor Ernest Conwell. Ernest – a current ministry leader in Vero Beach – received a mantle to be an apostolic organizer for Zion in his Beam City area. 4. In Waycross, GA, the team supported Pastor Gloria Oden in her efforts to establish Kingdom Church Community in her city with a special focus on raising a youth army of the LORD. Pastor Oden carries an apostolic mantle for her community, and a special mandate to raise the youth army of the LORD. 5. In Shreveport, LA, the team connected and established agreement with Bishop Hank Mariner and his wife who had received a vision of the “Shreveport beam” in the weeks before the team’s arrival. When she received this vision, she did not know about the Beam City Tour, and had not heard about the Beam City vision from the LORD. They also connected with the M18 Intercessory Team led by Gloria Houston and Linda Lewis. 6. In Portland, OR the team connected and established agreement with Bishop Marcus and Pastor Jean Pollard, and with other leaders and intercessors from five Portland churches. 7. In Sacramento, CA the team connected and established agreement with Vickie Briscoe, a ministry and intercessory leader for the Sacramento area. 8. In Reno, the team was received in front of the Washoe County Courthouse by a group of Christians who expressed agreement with their prayer which addressed “legal lawlessness” while asking for the law of the LORD to be extended from Zion. 9. In San Diego, the team was received by a young couple who expressed agreement with the Word of the LORD being declared from the historic lighthouse on Point Loma at the Juan Cabrillo Memorial. 10. In San Diego, the Holy Spirit connected the entire Beam City Tour with His plan for the Jewish people, affirming their strategic role in the development of national Zion. The team had gone to pray at the Mormon Battalion Barracks. As we prayed, our attention was drawn to the building sitting at the top of a grassy hill across from the barracks. Brenita was drawn to the Star of David that was portrayed on the building’s front, and was directed to pray for the move of God among Jewish people. After she prayed, we were told by the Mormon barracks staff that this was actually a historic Jewish synagogue, the first in San Diego. That the building was currently being renovated, seemed to speak to a pending work of restoration that is coming to the Jewish people and to the nation of Israel. Make It Zion Finally, during the course of the tour, the Chicago apostolic team received a slogan to be used in the Movement throughout the next six years. At the pastors’ meeting that took place in Portland on Thursday, September 22, one of the pastors informed the team that a current slogan being heard around that city was one that stated, “Keep Portland Weird.” There was an immediate response of the Holy Spirit to this rallying cry for lawlessness that was being used to define the city and set a course for its youth. That response – received by Steven Stultz and shared at that table was, “No – Make It Zion.” After sharing this with the intercessors and church leaders during the subsequent Friday night service, the Chicago team realized that this was more than a slogan for Portland. “Make It Zion” is a statement for the entire Nu Church Movement and for each of the Beam Cities as the word of reformation is shared and the work of reformation is conducted throughout the nation until the ending of KY 2021-22.
